With a new baby on the way, an Illinois man is using a popular fundraising website to rally support after his medical setbacks leave him with a tracheostomy tube, pile of bills, and uncertainty.
Edmond Henry of Moline is no stranger to hard work. Before his surgery, the 34 year old worked 2 jobs as he and his wife saved money to afford rent on their own place. Edmond and his wife are living with family members and had a goal to be in their own apartment before their new baby is born in early November.
Those plans have changed and now the expecting couple is living 60 miles apart as Edmond recovers from surgeries to his larynx and trachea to remove a mass that was blocking airflow through his larynx and hindering his speech.
The surgeries have exhausted the couple’s savings and left Edmond reliant upon a tracheostomy tube to breathe and unemployed while he recovers.
Edmond has turned to the internet for support and started a GoFundMe campaign to help his family.
We will continue to update this story as we get more information. Below is a link to Edmond’s GoFundMe campaign if you’d like to help.Click here for reuse options!
